Beyond Pesticides Sues Mott’s for Labeling Pesticide-Laden Applesauce “Natural”
Action of the week is intended to provide you, our supporters and network, with one concrete action that you can take each week to have your voice heard on governmental actions that are harmful to the environment and public and worker health, increase overall pesticide use, or undermine the advancement of organic, sustainable, and regenerative practices and policies. This week:
Ask your U.S. Senators to co-sponsor legislation to ban the neurotoxic insecticide chlorpyrifos — after U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Scott Pruitt reversed the previous administration’s proposal to discontinue its food uses. With EPA’s own assessment that the chemical is too toxic to children, it is time for Congress to intervene to get this highly toxic pesticide off the market. Urge Your Senators to Support a Bill That Bans Chlorpyrifos! Thank you for taking action.
Beyond Pesticides would like to thank the following companies for sponsoring the National Pesticide Forum scholarship fund, making it possible for people around the country to attend this important meeting.
